ORNAMENTAL TREE SHAPING

IMG_7639.HEIC

Shaping a tree is an art form.

It takes more than the right tools—it takes an eye for balance and symmetry, patience, and an understanding of how a tree naturally grows. Each cut should have a purpose, creating an architectural shape that suits the species while supporting its long-term health.

Thoughtful pruning can reveal a tree’s natural character, encourage healthy growth, and guide its structure for years to come.

The goal isn’t to simply cut a tree back. It’s to bring out what’s already there.

A much-needed haircut for this Weeping Japanese Maple!

This tree had been overdue for a little shaping, but once we got started, its beautiful form began to emerge. The result? A cleaner, more intentional silhouette that lets this stunning tree shine as the focal point it was meant to be.

Sometimes, the right pruning is all it takes to let a great tree make its statement.

A little shaping goes a long way.

This Weeping Japanese Maple was hiding beneath a tangle of ferns and weeds. We lifted the lower branches to reveal its beautiful, waterfall-like form, relocated the ferns, cleared the weeds, and finished with a fresh layer of compost around the base and drip line.

A simple cleanup and thoughtful shaping brought this tree back into focus—and what a difference it made.

Changing landscapes, changing lives.
