Carmel Gardens is a local landscape installation and landscape design company in Lake Norman focused on customizing landscapes and educating folks on different gardening methods, styles, and using native plants. Carmel Gardens guides clients through their project, compiling and coordinating the necessary team for their project from the design, to install, subcontractors and craftsmen.

The founder of Carmel Gardens, Sara Martin, has a background in high-end residential construction from Southern California. She has worked in some of the most bespoke homes on the West Coast. During the latter years of her construction time, she transitioned to landscaping out of passion for the outdoors and a niche in the market she saw she could fill. She then moved - west coast to east coast now residing and working out of Lake Norman, North Carolina. By combining her artistic and creative approach to landscape with an understanding of business and construction management, Sara and her team at Carmel Gardens are able to provide clients with seamless project experience.

The outdoors has always called my name. Since childhood I was out in the yard playing with my sisters in the flowers, with the bee's, collecting rocks and absolutely mesmerized by nature.  Learning that precious little seeds could grow into something as large and impressive as a tree blew my mind, and it still does; that we can cultivate fruit and other resources from what the Lord has created is divine.

My dad began growing vegetables in the limited space we had in our yard, on the side of the house, where ever he could get some seeds in the ground. He grew this huge zucchini like I had never seen before,  it was eye opening, inspiring, and has led me to cultivate much vegetables in my own gardens as I have grown into a seasoned gardener. It's the kind of thing I desire to share with others.

And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.
Isaiah 58:11
